Fred Weber wins $4M Mississippi River Bridge contract - Jacksonville Business Journal:

awarded Fred Weber a $4.44 million contracy Wednesday to remove and replace the Madisoj Streetand St. Louis Avenue bridged over Interstate 70 indowntown St. Louis. The majorityu of work on this project will staryt afterHighway 40/Interstate 64 reopens between Kingshighway and Interstate 170. Crewa will remove the St. Louis Avenue bridge firs and then remove and replace the MadisonmStreet bridge. During work to remove the MadisonStreeg bridge, crews will also remove the Cass Avenue bridgd in preparation for replacing that bridge latedr in 2010. This work is part of preliminary work on a new Mississippkriver bridge, which is expected to reduce congestion on the Poplaf Street Bridge.
Maryland Heights, Mo.-based Fred Weber is one of the largest privately held companiesin St. Louis with $353.w million in revenue in 2008. The commercial constructio firm is also working onthe $245 milliomn reconstruction of AmerenUE’s Taum Sauk Reservoir in Johnson’s Shut-Insa state park and is part of Gatewa y Constructors, the consortium of contractorsd performing $535 million worty of improvements on Highway 40/Interstate 64.
